Education

Participants in our world music workshops not only get access to an activity that isn’t readily available it also creates a good deal of fun and enjoyment, which are the underlying values of world music
Participants of the workshops quickly pick up the know how and can produce a good sound with the instrument without having to put in hours of practice, which is what makes our workshops perfect for schools and other educational establishments.

Adhering to schemes    of the National Curriculum our workshops also benefit participants by

  • Improved coordination
  • Improved sense of rhythm
  • Developed listening skills – paying attention to other peoples rhythm and your own
  • Improving confidence
  • Improving team work skills

This all may appear to be hard work, but having been running these programmes for some time now, world music workshops are actually very relaxing, purely from concentrating on listening, playing and staying in time, therefore meaning there is no time for the mind to wander.

Being part of a Louder Than Life workshop is about working towards a shared vision, enjoyment with the underlying emphasis on educational outputs.

"Thanks very much again to Tim for an excellent event and for those doing the admin. It was a really easy, helpful and organised booking, arranging and finalising process - something which I very much appreciate compared to some other organisations that work with schools!" - Steven Hill - Chealsea Academy
